As Churchill wrote in his memories “ The killing of
Mussolini saved us from an Italian Nuremberg”.
At the end of the meeting a document was
issued in which the three leaders of the coalition,
Wilson Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and
Iosif Stalin, committed themselves so that the
Nazi criminals would stand a trial according to the
laws of the country where the crimes were
committed at the end of the war.
In the next conference in Teheran from November
28 to December 1 in the same year the concept
of national crime was brought to a broader level
and went beyond the concept of national
punishment.

From November 20th 1945 to October 1st 1946
the trial of the Nazi involved in the Second World
War and in Shoah took place in Nuremberg (
which is a symbolic city of the Nazi regime with
Berlin and Munich) in the courthouse.
The first and the most famous trial was been the
one of the main war criminals in front of the
Military Court (IMT), which involved twenty-four of
the most important arrested Nazi leaders or
considered still alive.
The second group of trials involved less important
war criminals and took place according to the law
number 10 of the control board of the Military
Court in Nuremberg, included also the famous
doctors’ trial.
